Quinton “Rampage” Jackson began his training in Mixed Martial arts at Mullen’s Karate, Kickboxing, Juijitsu & Aikido in Memphis, Tennessee.
In high school Quinton finished 5th at the Tennessee State championships during his senior year. He wrestled again in junior college and then discovered mixed martial arts and began to pursue a career as a professional fighter. He began that career here at Mullen’s Karate, Kickboxing & Juijitsu.
Jackson built up a record of 11 wins and 1 loss fighting for a variety of smaller scale American promotions, including King of the Cage, Gladiator Challenge, and Dangerzone. In Japan’s PRIDE Fighting Championships he fought PRIDE’s prominant fighter Kazushi Sakuraba. Although he lost the match, his impressive performance and never say die attitude attracted the attention of both fans and promotors.
After several high profile fights and impressive wins and losses alike, Jackson signed with the World Fight Alliance which was bought by the UFC in 2006.
